HAS
BEFORE YOU LEAVE
know
Europe is the western part of the Asian continent, called Eurasia. The Atlantic Ocean to the west, the Arctic Ocean to the north, and the Mediterranean Sea to the south are the geographical boundaries of Europe.
GEOGRAPHY
The southern limit of Europe is marked by the Strait of Gibraltar which separates it from Africa, while the straits of the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles respectively mark its border with Western Asia. Its eastern limit, fixed by Peter the Great at the Ural Mountains, the Ural River and the Caucasus is the traditionally retained limit, but remains, in the absence of a clear and precise separation, the subject of controversies according to which a certain number of countries are or are not to be included in the European continent. Geographically, it can also be considered as part of the supercontinents of Eurasia and Afro-Eurasia.
Europe is a continent comprising 46 countries spread across five geographical regions: Western Europe , Central Europe , Southern Europe , Eastern Europe and Northern Europe (28 of which belong to the European Union).
LANGUAGES SPOKEN
Administratively, German, English, Russian, French, Spanish and Italian dominate, but Europe is linguistically much richer since the 50 European States (all sovereign, except Gibraltar) of the greater geographical Europe group together 35 official languages, enriched by 225 non-official secondary languages.

to visit

The best time to travel to most countries in Europe is from May to mid-October . This is obviously summer, when the sun shines the most in most countries. It is also the holiday season, which is why visitors and tourists flock to the most popular places in July and August. Indeed, you can imagine that during this period you will meet a lot of people and parents with their children. But it also means that many last minute deals are available for these periods.
If you want more peace and quiet, choose the end of spring and the beginning of autumn , which are also pleasant travel periods in Europe. Indeed, the temperatures are still mild and sunny. This can be different in Northern Europe, where temperatures can still be very cool. The countries in this area have very particular climates. On the other hand, the countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea are the best places for this period. Indeed, the temperatures are pleasant and there are fewer tourists.
However, if you are a fan of winter sports and like a cozy atmosphere and hot chocolates, it is in winter that you will find your happiness! Snowy passes, ski slopes, traditional Christmas markets, there is plenty to do in Europe in winter... On the other hand, bad weather is present in all European countries at this time of year, so bring warm clothes.
WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN TRAVELING?
In terms of tourism and discovery, Europe stands out from other regions of the world. This continent has everything to fulfill the dream of each traveler in search of a unique adventure. With its rich and varied cultures, its architectural feats, its many countries where life is good, its national parks and its Mediterranean coastlines, Europe is a complete destination for an exceptional experience.
Northern Europe and its Scandinavian lands at high latitudes, its cold regions, its unspoiled nature, its colorful villages on stilts, its superb fjords and its cities where life is good form a paradise that the traveler will have to earn. This region of the continent which bathes on the coasts of the Channel, the North Sea and the Baltic is animated by very low climatic conditions . Do not forget to plan snow activities such as dog sledding, snowshoe hiking or skiing to enjoy nature, its incredible contrasts between blues and greens, while letting off steam in the great outdoors.
Southern and Western Europe will take you to the Mediterranean basin and open the doors to ancestral civilizations. A visit to the most beautiful capitals of the continent will delight the most curious: Rome, Berlin, Paris, Madrid... The Adriatic countries represent a fascinating transition to Central Europe, a crossroads of cultures and influences, giving your trip its full meaning.
Finally, for a complete change of scenery, Eastern Europe is an ideal destination! Lovers of relaxation will be delighted by the turquoise beaches of Croatia and Bulgaria. For a cultural stay, the traveler will be satisfied by the exceptional heritage of this region. In Prague, you will have the opportunity to discover the magnificent historic center rich in monuments from all historical periods. In Warsaw, you can admire the city of the gigantic Palace of Culture and Science. You will also be amazed by the treasures of this city with its many gardens.
